I began my creative path with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and worked as an Art Director in Advertising and PR for 13 years. After moving to California from my native Ohio in 2001, I decided to launch Saucy Design and specialize in interior design and color consultation.
I started by taking on interior design related projects such as staging and accessorizing for various commercial clients, designing showroom environments, and selecting furnishings and propping during the Spring and Winter Design Markets in San Francisco. In 2004, I landed my first residential Interior Design project, a 10,000 sq ft new construction client. From there, my Interior Design business grew organically, with client referrals and repeat clients, accumulating a client base of over 500 residential and commercial design projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Adept with color, light, pattern and scale, I specialize in designing interiors with the right amount of decoration, thoughtful color, and function. My style is a combination of modern and classic with a bit of Hollywood Glam.
I'm inspired by multiple design styles, and am particularly fond of vintage French furnishings and modern design. I love creating contrasts in style and texture which are unique and elegant.
I have a deep connection with the outdoors and look to nature for color and textural inspiration. I believe in the careful use of our natural resources and will always strive to do my part as a designer to build awareness of recycled materials where applicable and work to create responsible and sustainable design.
